This hands-on training is for new recruits ready to learn essential firefighting skills. No experience needed—just a commitment to protecting your community.

Fire Branch – Protect & Serve Your Community
​The Petersburg Fire Branch responds to a wide range of emergencies, including fires, vehicle accidents, hazardous material incidents, rescues, and more. Firefighters work as a team to protect lives and property through quick response, hands-on action, and specialized training.

What to Expect as a Volunteer
Who Can Join?

No experience needed—training is provided.

Volunteers come from all backgrounds and schedules.

Flexible participation—help when you can.
Training & Meetings

Drills: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Thursdays of each month, 7:00 – 9:00 PM.

Additional training available throughout the year.

Department Meetings: 1st Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at Station 1.

Dinner provided at 6:00 PM (location varies).

Emergency Response

Volunteers carry a pager and respond when available.
